“Obviously ill”: a sex worker spoke about her many years of communication with her husband Kristi Noem – he paid with official money

Colorado sex worker Shai Sotomayor said in an interview Unclosed Mediathat he has been communicating with her for the past nine years Bryon Noem, husband of former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. The dialogues allegedly touched on topics of sexual dominance, fetishes and transgender transition. Sotomayor claims Noem spent between $35,000 and $45,000 on these conversations.

The publication checked the phone number used to contact the girl and confirmed that it belongs to the Noem Insurance Group from South Dakota. Its leader is 56-year-old Bryon Noem. According to Sotomayor, the man was interested in artificial implants, surgical interventions, and raised the topic of hormonal therapy.

“He [Брайон Ноэм] not only went into detail, but also, when we chatted for hours, at some point he seemed to dive into this topic and talk about all the procedures that he would like to undergo. It really shocked me when he started talking about hormones,” Sotomayor said.

She recognized Noem by his voice and then found information about him on the Internet. Sotomayor also suggested that money for payment for her services could have been transferred to official accounts, but did not provide evidence. The funds were routed through PayPal, and one of the accounts contained Noem's real name.

According to the girl, their relationship was built on the “dominant-submissive” model. Noem asked to be called by his feminine name, “Crystal,” and to use the pronoun “she,” and also used “feminine descriptions” of his sexual arousal and sent photographs of himself in women’s clothing.

Separately, Sotomayor’s interlocutor mentioned a fetish for excessively large female breasts and said that he himself would like to undergo a similar operation. By the way, in April of this year, Noem got into a scandal when the media published photos in which he repeatedly put on huge false breasts. In a conversation with RTVI.US, PR strategist and crisis communications expert Judah Engelmayer admitted that these media materials could be part of a planned blackmail or an attempt to harm the Republican Party and US President Donald Trump before the November congressional elections.

Bryon later told the girl about undergoing a rehab program at Pure Desire Ministries, which bills itself as helping Christian men “abandon unwanted behavior and restore broken relationships.”

Sotomayor also expressed fears for her safety. According to her, one of the reasons she stopped communicating with Noem was his attempts to “invent a religion” for the girl. According to the sex worker, the man talked about a “shrine” and wanted her to “worship a small statue” by making offerings.

“Brion, I thought about this for a long time. You're clearly sick. You need help. If it wasn’t clear by now that you have become the laughing stock of America, I really don’t know what else to say,” Sotomayor quoted as saying in his latest message to Noem.

This is not the first time the Noem family has been at the center of scandals. In 2024, the public demanded Kristi Noem's resignation as governor of South Dakota following her revelations that she shot and killed her 14-month-old dog, Cricket, due to her aggressive nature.

Then, as Secretary of Homeland Security, Noem was suspected of having an affair with her chief adviser Corey Lewandowski. Ultimately, it was this, as well as rumors about unjustified spending of budget funds on air travel and other personal needs, that apparently became the reason for her resignation.
