Hollywood actor Brad Pitt admitted in an interview with Esquire that he is drinking alcohol again, but “in a more restrained manner.” According to him, he didn’t drink for seven years, “and then he relapsed again.”
Alcohol was one of the reasons for Pitt's sensational divorce from Angelina Jolie. The actress claimed that in 2016, the winner of two Oscars, who was under the influence of alcohol, used physical force and poured beer and wine on both herself and their children on board a private plane when they flew from Europe.
Jolie filed a lawsuit, and Pitt eventually began to struggle with addiction and joined the Alcoholics Anonymous club – he also publicly thanked actor Bradley Cooper for his help in giving up alcohol. Now, however, alcohol appears to have re-entered his life.
“I haven’t drunk for seven years. And then he lost it again. But in a more restrained manner. A couple of times I overestimated my strength, but then I realized: well, no, this is not good for me. Only in small quantities,” said the actor.
He admitted that he sometimes drinks a few glasses of wine.
“But I can’t drink much. I have to approach this professionally,” Pitt added.
In the interview, the actor also talked about the upcoming sequel to Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The comedy drama “The Adventures of Cliff Booth” is produced and distributed by Netflix, quarantined by David Fincher (director of “Fight Club” and “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”), and Tarantino wrote the script. The plot will focus entirely on stuntman Cliff Booth, Brad Pitt's character from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
