With a Dior dress and a photo ban: Taylor Swift's wedding lasted until three in the morning in New York

American singer Taylor Swift married American football player Travis Kelce in a ceremony in New York attended by 1,000 guests. As the New York Times (NYT) notes, cars with participants in the closed celebration began to leave the Madison Square Garden sports arena in Manhattan after three o'clock in the morning.

Despite the secrecy of the event, Swift's representatives confirmed to the American media the fact of the wedding and some of its details. It is known that the singer did not have a bridesmaid – her brother Austin took her place, and his brother Jason became the best man on the football player's side. Hollywood actor Adam Sandler acted as master of ceremonies. The singer has previously made no secret of the fact that she is a fan of his humor, and Kelsey played with Sandler in the comedy Happy Gilmore 2.

Swift's press service also confirmed that the newlyweds chose outfits from the Dior brand for the celebration, which were designed by new creative director Jonathan Anderson. Neither the singer nor her husband have yet published photographs of their images. Photos from inside the arena have also not yet appeared. Guests and event staff were prohibited from using smartphones during the ceremony and its supposed rehearsal the day before, according to ABC News.

At the same time, journalists managed to notice a number of celebrities during their arrival at the arena – singer Selena Gomez, actors Bradley Cooper and Hugh Grant, models Karlie Kloss and Gigi Hadid, as well as musicians Ed Sheeran and Sombr. According to NYT sources, Swift and Fleetwood Mac lead singer Stevie Nicks were expected to perform jointly at the ceremony.

Judging by the appearance of the guests, a strict Black Tie dress code was in effect at the event. A video of an American muscle car with the license plate JusT&T Mrd (“Just Married”) leaving the hall, as well as glitter remaining on the floor at the VIP entrance, was also posted on social networks.

During the event, a number of streets were closed in the Madison Square Garden area, where Swift gave eight concerts, including to pedestrian traffic. New York Police Department snipers were also seen on the roof of the building, ABC News adds.

Neither this nor the heat, which was temporarily replaced by heavy rain, prevented hundreds of the singer’s fans from gathering nearby. On the facade of the building, the phrase JusT&T Married (“Newlyweds”) was highlighted for them, with a hint of the initials of the 36-year-old newlyweds. As the NYT notes, after the celebration, Swift fans chanted and demanded that the departing guests appear from their car windows, but few of them rolled down their windows.
