Lovers of tanned skin should be careful and follow the recommendations of doctors, because sunbathing can sometimes lead to unpleasant consequences. According to specialists, a good tan without side effects requires preparation.

You need to use body scrubs and apply nourishing creams a couple of days before tanning“, doctors advise.

Also, on the day of tanning, you should not use perfume, apply creams with aromas or fruit acids – this can lead to skin irritation.

What time to sunbathe

It is better to carry out such a “procedure” from 09:00 to 11:00 or from 16:00 to 19:00. That’s when the sun is very active.

At the same time, you need to remember about the headdress, sunglasses and creams.

In the first days of tanning, you need to tan gradually, i.e. stay in the sun for about 30 minutes and add 10 minutes on the following days. But the maximum time spent in the sun should be no more than two hours a day“, explains the dermatologist.

Sunscreens should be chosen based on the type of skin. According to the doctor, products with SPF 20 and 30 are suitable for dark-skinned people. People with lighter skin will need SPF 50, because they are more susceptible to the effects of ultraviolet rays. Therefore, the probability of sunburn is higher.
