“Unprecedented bombing”: Trump revealed “instructions” in case of his death

US President Donald Trump said in an interview with the newspaper on Friday New York Post (NYP) that he left “instructions” in case he was killed in an Iranian assassination attempt. This is how he commented on rumors that the Israeli authorities allegedly notified the White House about this danger.

As previously reported, Trump recently, on the recommendation of the Secret Service, changed the plane on the way from the NATO summit in Turkey, since the new aircraft donated by Qatar was not equipped with systems to protect against missile attacks.

Before this, the Republican announced the end of the truce with Iran, calling the country’s leadership “scum” because of the situation in the Strait of Hormuz. The United States accused Iran of attacks on commercial ships and carried out new attacks on the country, to which Tehran responded with attacks on American bases in Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan.

In an interview with NYP, Trump said Israel “found nothing,” but Iran, he said, has wanted him dead “for a long time.” According to the president, he is “number one” on the list of Iranian authorities.

“I’ve been on their list for a long time. That's what we're dealing with. The only thing I can say is that I left instructions. If something happens, just bomb them in an unprecedented way,” Trump emphasized.

As the president added jokingly, he hopes that he “will be missed.” That same day, July 10, a presidential administration official told CNN that the White House was upgrading the front door to improve security. The work is expected to last several months. These measures are related to several attempts on Trump’s life, the US Secret Service, which protects top officials of the state, told the TV channel.

NYP links speculation about Iran's plans to kill Trump to both the US operation that began in February and his order of the 2020 strike in Iraq that killed General Qasem Soleimani. He commanded the Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), an influential force in the Middle East.

Previously, the publication wrote about Soleimani’s friend’s plans to avenge his death by killing Trump’s daughter Ivanka, and during the 2024 election campaign, US authorities arrested a Pakistani citizen who, according to investigators, was planning an assassination attempt on the Republican ordered by Iranian authorities. Calls for Trump's assassination were also heard at the recent funeral of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed at the beginning of the American operation.

The latest attempt on Trump's life occurred this year at the annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner. The shooter, Cole Allen, was captured alive. Shortly before this, 36-year-old Sean Steiner was arrested near the head of state’s golf club with a large amount of weapons and ammunition, and in February 2026, 21-year-old Austin Tucker Martin was detained at Trump’s residence in Mar-a-Lago (Florida), who entered there with a can of gasoline and a shotgun. Their ties to Iran were not reported.

In 2024, Trump was shot in the ear in an assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. The shooter, 20-year-old Thomas Crooks, was killed on the spot.

A couple of months after that, Secret Service agents foiled an assassination attempt on Trump near his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. Ryan Root, who was pointing the machine gun over the fence, was arrested on the spot and sentenced to life in prison this year.
