American actor Taylor Lautner, known for his role as werewolf Jacob Black in the Twilight film series, became a father for the first time. Together with his wife Taylor Lautner, who is his full namesake, they revealed the name of their daughter – she was named Lennon Taylor Lautner.
As the parents announced on Wednesday, September 23, on their Instagram, their daughter, whom they call Lenny for short, was born on September 16.
The official Twilight account and Lautner’s colleagues in the saga, Mackenzie Foy and Jackson Rathbone, congratulated the couple on the birth of their first child in the comments. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart do not have social media accounts.
Other users couldn't resist making jokes about the baby's name.
“Taylor dynasty,” joked user oliviaaa.ile under the post, which received more than 80,000 likes.
“Three Taylor Lautners would be too powerful,” added kelseymannarino.
The couple announced in March that they were expecting a new addition to the family and then joked about choosing a name.
“What's better than two people named Taylor Lautner?” — the family noted in a March publication.
Lautner was introduced to his future wife, nee Taylor Dome, by his sister Makena. The actor and his girlfriend announced their relationship on Halloween in 2018, and four years later they got married. Together they created The Squeeze podcast, where they discuss mental health issues.
In addition to “Twilight,” Lautner played in the superhero action film “The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lava Lava,” the comedies “Classmates 2” and “The Ridiculous Six” with Adam Sandler, as well as the romantic comedy “Valentine’s Day.” Currently, the film “The Best Man for Show” is being prepared for release – the first major role of 34-year-old Lautner in four years.
