A U.S. Marshals Service task force on Thursday arrested 38-year-old Isabelle Johnson in Cottondale, Florida, who was wanted on suspicion of murder. Police called her a “master of manipulation” and said she used several false names and changed her appearance.
According to Fox News, the search for Johnson lasted 45 days in three states – Florida, Georgia and Alabama. Walton County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Dustin Cosson said officers issued more than 40 subpoenas and more than 20 search warrants as part of the extensive investigation.
According to investigators, after committing the alleged crime, Johnson represented herself under false names and used a network of accomplices who helped her hide for several weeks.

“Her [Джонсон] arrest was made thanks to location information obtained by the Walton County Sheriff's Office Cybercrime Unit. Following her arrest, Jackson County Sheriff's Department officers transported Johnson to the county jail. She will be extradited to Walton County at a later date,” the Walton County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.
Johnson is charged with the murder of 43-year-old Jason Christopher Coultart. The man went missing in May. During the investigation, detectives received information that led them to a location on Sunset Lane in Freeport, Florida.
After obtaining a search warrant on June 25, investigators found Coultart's body buried on the property with a zip tie around his neck. According to police, the body was covered in concrete and a black Cadillac was parked above the burial site. One witness claimed that the concrete was used to prevent a dog from digging up the body.
Authorities have not disclosed the nature of the relationship between Johnson and Coultart, and the motive for the alleged murder also remains unknown. A witness told investigators that Johnson had previously allegedly said that she “got rid of” a certain man because he was “annoying her and driving her crazy.” According to the same witness, the man allegedly threatened to intervene in a dispute involving Johnson's custody of her children.
Five more people were also arrested in the case. At least two of them are accused of helping Johnson evade law enforcement, the sheriff's department said.
The investigation continues, and the police do not rule out further arrests. Johnson could also face additional charges.
